A: You will get notification about the reply to your advert. You will then need to login to your account and click on "My Mailbox". From here you will be able to read & reply to any enquiries. Your email is never revealed - you choose when to give it out.

Q: How do I add a photo to my account?

A: You can add a photo at the same time you enter the details for your property. You can place up to 5 photos of your property, 3 to initially and an further 2 once the advert is placed. Towards the bottom of the form you will see 3 boxes these allow you to locate the photo on your computer and upload at the same time as placing your advert. Or after but you need to log in, click on "My Account" then on "My Ads" this will then display your advert. At the bottom of the advert are 3 photo fields, simply locate the photos you have on your PC or floppy and upload them. It needs to be no larger than 500 x 500 pixels The file size must be less than 35kb Can be jpg (recommended) or gif To resize your photo
We recomend downloading a some great shareware (free trial) software from www.Xatech.com To use this simply open the program once installed, then open your photo. You need to click on the transform image icon, this has the option to resize. Ensure the maintain aspect ratio is checked. Slide the width left, you need to get the width less than 500 and may need to slide left twice as it reduces in stages.
At the top of the screeen you will see the image size, this needs to be less than 35,000 bytes (35kb). To compress the image you need to click on the compress image icon (looks like a fist). Best option is to select file type as JPG , then slide the slider left (you will see the image size at the top going down in value). You should still have a great looking image with the slider on 25 . Once happy click on the save as icon and bingo you are an expert at image resizing. Your image is now ready to upload.

A: To edit or delete your advert simply log in to "My Account" there you will see your advert and the key to carry out delete or edit functions.

Q: I have made changes to my advert but they do not appear.

A: Some changes do not take place immediately they appear once the database is updated - this happens every night and at various times during the day. Please be patient it can take up to 5 hours for your advert to fullyappear, however it will be imedietley visible in the search results.

Q: Can I use Homes On Sale if I am already registered with an estate agent?

A: Yes, as Homes On Sale is not an estate agent we do not conflict with any sole or multiple agency agreement that you may have. If you sell your property through us you should not have to pay any commission to your agent unless you have agreed to a contract where your agent has sole selling rights. We would recommend that to be certain you check the wording of your contract for clarification.
